Eugene Bareman recently blamed the New Zealand government for the relocation of City Kickboxing to the United States.
In an interview with Submission Radio, Bareman noted that although his team receives immense adulation from the New Zealand people, the country’s government has not provided support.
“The people support us. It is the government, which is not the true true representative of the people in many ways, that seems not to support us. The New Zealand public, for the most part, supports us and loves us. , but the government not so much. It will be a very sad day if I and the team have to end up leaving and base ourselves abroad. It will be done with a very heavy heart, “said Eugene Bareman.
COVID-19 restrictions imposed in New Zealand have hampered the training of members of the City Kickboxing team. Eugene Bareman believes he and his team will continue to train in the United States until the New Zealand government allows fighters to train freely in a quarantined gym.

Hinting at Dan Hooker’s problems getting a visa ahead of UFC 266, Eugene Bareman said the government should make the visa process easier. Bareman also explained how the country’s national rugby team, the “All Blacks”, enjoy certain travel privileges that are not granted to athletes in other sports.
